What Settings and Privileges do I need to be aware of to start using Tasks in SETWorks?
Administrators
There are several Privileges that control access to Tasks. Administrators are able to place strict controls on which roles are able to view, create, modify, and verify Tasks.
Terminology can be modified within SETWorks to better fit the needs of your organization. If the terminology in our articles are not the same on your site, talk to your local administrator to assist in translation.
Configuring Visibility of Tasks
Configuring Access to the My Tasks Page
There are two privileges that control visibility of the My Tasks page.
The first privilege controls the link to Tasks on the top navigation bar:
The privilege that controls the Tasks tab is:
Settings > Provider Build > Maintain Privileges > Global:
Show the task tab on the navigation bar.
The next privilege controls the Tasks widget on the Home Page:
The privilege that controls the Tasks widget is:
Settings > Provider Build > Maintain Privileges > Global:
Enable the Task Widget on the Home Page.
Configuring access to the Review and Manage Tasks page
To access the Review and Manage Tasks page, open the Global Action Menu (select: add drop down menu), and choose Review & Sign (Tasks):
Review and Sign (Tasks) is enabled if any of the following four privileges are enabled:
Settings > Provider Build > Maintain Privileges > Tasks:
Is able to verify tasks have been completed.
Is able to discontinue a recurring task.
Is able to complete tasks as a manager.
Is able to modify previously created tasks.
Configuring Tasks on the Consumer Profile
The Tasks tab on the Consumer Profile is controlled by the following privilege:
Settings > Provider Build > Maintain Privileges > Consumer Profile:
Show the tasks tab on the consumer profile.
Configuring Tasks on the Staff Profile
The Tasks tab on the Staff Profile within Staff Management is controlled by the following privilege:
Settings > Provider Build > Maintain Privileges > Staff Management:
Show staff task tab under the staff profile in Staff Management
Other Configurable Settings
Settings > Provider Build > Maintain Privileges > Tasks:
Require the user enter their PIN to verify tasks are complete.
Enable the ability to "Check All" within the subject/consumer drop-down when adding a new task.
Enable the 'Specific to Provider' checkbox and 'TCM Service' controls in Task Utility.
Is able to assign tasks to other users.
Is able to assign tasks to self.
Is able to add custom tasks.
Is able to document Historical Tasks.
