How Do I Configure Password Expiration Policies?

Administrators
SETWorks administrators have the ability to control how often users must reset their passwords.
You may only have access to the Password Expiration settings if you are a SETWorks Administrator.

Creating an Expiration Date for Passwords

For an added measure of security, you may wish to implement a set amount of days until all user's passwords expire.
This setting can be accessed by navigating to either the Provider Build page or the Security Utility.
There are two different places in SETWorks where you are able to set the password expiration policy - the Provider Build page and the Security Utility.

To change the password expiration setting from the Provider Build page:

Navigate to:
Settings > Provider Build > Provider Profile > Update Provider Profile > Password Expiration Days
This action will prompt users to change their password the next time they login after the set amount of days until expiration has been reached.

To change the password expiration setting from the Security Utility:

Navigate to:
Settings > Provider Build > Utilities > Security Utility

Under the Credential Persistence section, enter the desired number of days before passwords expire into the Password Expiration After (Days): box:
