In SETWorks, the EVV Experience requests the user's current location at three different intervals - upon check-in, upon selecting and saving a consumer, and upon check-out. SETWorks requests the location at the specific moment that the check-in or save button is selected - that location is saved but SETWorks does not monitor, track, or collect any location information other than the moment that button is selected.
This means:
SETWorks only requests an employee’s location at the exact moment they clock in or clock out of a service that requires EVV (Electronic Visit Verification).
When you start or end a visit in SETWorks, your device prompts for location access — this is a one-time request to verify that the visit took place where it should.
SETWorks does not continuously track, store, or monitor your location before, during, or after the visit.
Once the location for that clock-in or clock-out is captured, location access stops until the next visit action that requires it.
In short, SETWorks uses momentary location verification, not ongoing location tracking:
SETWorks does not monitor or track staff travel outside of EVV-required visit verification. Location information is only captured at the moment of clock-in or clock-out for the purpose of verifying service delivery in compliance with EVV requirements.
