How Can I Effectively Use the Business Intelligence Dashboards in SETWorks?

SETWorks has several different types of reports available. The "Business Intelligence" reports allow for some very robust filtering, but there are some tips and tricks to getting the most out of these reports. Read the article below to learn more.
This article uses the Demographics Dashboards in all screenshots. Please note that the tips and tricks contained in the article apply to all Business Intelligence Dashboards, including but not limited to the Demographics Dashboards.
Important Note about Data Security on Business Intelligence Dashboards: BI Dashboards include all departments. Limits on department access and coverage are not respected. Before turning on a BI Dashboard for a user role, please note that all users in the role will be able to view all data for all departments.
Using Filters
The panel of filters on the right allows you to change what information is displayed.
If you're unable to view the Filters Panel on the right, check for a small arrow on the right side. Reference this article to learn more:
Hover over the filter and the edit icon will be displayed. It looks like a pencil:
Clicking the edit icon will open the specific filter and display additional options:
Next, let's examine how to filter dates specifically.
Filter by Date Using List View
Under the List view, you can use the dropdown to view the various categories available in that view:
For example, to display only data from October, November, and December, set the dropdown to Months, clear all checkboxes, and then select only October, November, and December:
Click OK to apply the filter and the selections will be applied:
Filter by Date Using Calendar View
In the filter window, select the Calendar tab.
Next, select the start date:
Select the end date, then click OK:
The date range you selected will be applied.
Use these steps to filter data using any of the other available filters.
Exporting
To export, simply hover your mouse on any of the widgets on the dashboard. A small ellipsis (...) will appear in the top right corner of the widget. Click the ellipsis:
A menu will open:
Navigate to Download, then select the desired format. Most widgets can be exported to CSV, which is compatible with Excel. Some widgets also have the option to export to the XLS format, which is labeled as Excel File.
Open the export file for further analysis:
