Unable to Sign an Activity Record
Why can't I sign my activity record?

Terminology can be modified within SETWorks to better fit the needs of your organization. If the terminology in our articles are not the same on your site, talk to your local administrator to assist in translation.
There are several reasons why you may not be able to sign a record. The cause is often displayed on the record. Here is the full list of reasons:
Reason |
Description |
Due date for signing has passed. |
SET-Works can be configured to automatically designate activity records as late after a certain number of days. If a record is late, contact a manager to temporarily allow adding a late record.

Record has not yet ended. |
Activity Records can only be signed after the end time has passed. |
Non-Billable record has no mileage |
If this option is turned on, non-billables are required to have mileage to be signable. |
Staff signature is required prior to manager signing |
If this option is turned on, the staff must sign the record prior to the manager signing. |
Not authorized to sign. You are not involved with this record. |
Staff are not able to sign records for other staff, and managers are not allowed to sign for other managers. |
Manager Created |
The record was created by a manager, and you are not the manager who created the record.

A sign button may not be available for several reasons:
- Staff are not able to sign records for other staff or managers.
- If the record has already been billed. (Generally billing requires that the record already be signed.)
- The record has already been signed.
- The record was created by a manager, and you are a staff.
- Activity Record signing is disabled.
