Billable vs. Non-Billable
What's the difference between billable and non-billable records in SETWorks?
Billable records are used for tracking interactions between staff and consumers and can be used to bill a funding source for reimbursements. Non-billable records are used for tracking activities that will not be used for billing purposes.
Terminology can be modified within SETWorks to better fit the needs of your organization. If the terminology in our articles are not the same on your site, talk to your local administrator to assist in translation.
Billable
Billable Activity Records are always associated with one or more consumers and at least one authorization. The authorization also links the Billable record to a funding source and a contract which are used for billing.
Non-Billable
Non-Billable Activity Records are for activities that typically have no funding authorization and don't directly tie back to a payer. Furthermore they can be used to track things like vacation, training activities and any number of HR-related events.
