MO-Specific: MO HIE Interest

MO-Specific: MO HIE Interest

Interested in connecting to the MO HIE?

Missouri is again planning on receiving funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to help providers connect to Missouri Health Information Exchanges (HIE)!

Connecting to these HIEs (In our case LACIE) is important because it allows us to push and pull information.  For example, we’re working on a project to pull in ISP data from ConneXion via a HIE (Imagine not having to fax or wait on emails to get this data!). There are many other pieces of data available as well.  We are piloting a medical viewer right within SETWorks through LACIE that is proving to be very helpful.

We are looking for Providers in MO that are wanting to take advantage of this opportunity and engage with us and LACIE to build out this connectivity.

Who qualifies?
Home and community providers but generally organizations that serve the IDD population.

What do you have to do?
Nothing right now, we’re trying to gauge interest so that when the funding becomes available, we can move quickly.

What does it cost?
Our goal is to use the funding for the initial build out as well as for several years of maintenance fees – our goal is to have no fees for 3-5 years. Even when the costs do start, we’ve seen maintenance fees in the range of $1,500 per year for the HIE and most likely something similar to that for SETWorks.  These costs are easily offset by the benefits gained.

What are next steps?
Just tell us you’re interested in taking advantage of this funding opportunity to get connected to LACIE!
